Clients Brief

The client’s brief was to create a shop with a “Gothic” theme to best reflect the type of products sold. The client wanted three distinct areas, one for clothing, one for toys, games and memorabilia and one for valuable jewellery and ornaments.

Problms to Solve

The problem we faced was that the retail area of the shop was not visible from the entrance.

There was a column in the middle of the main retail area and there was no natural lighting.

The shop was not on the main floor of the mall but at the bottom of the escalator leading in from the car park.

Once the customers could see the retail area on the left, they would enter.

Method

We decided to create a tempting display at the front of the shop, where it would be seen by the passing foot traffic. So by using our “J” Bars and glass shelving we created a display area with an LCD TV which featured the stock on a rotating basis.

We divided the retail area into a clothing section on the left using “J” Bars, Grid and hanging accessories as well as floor stands. On the right we used “Plankwall” for shelving. This covered the wall, gave a colour theme and masked the column. We made a specially designed counter for the jewellery and had some lighted lockable glass showcases for the valuable ornaments.

We placed additional directional spots and floods on the ceiling panels for mood lighting.

Result

ll in all the result was very pleasing and all done within the budget and time frame. Most importantly the client was satisfied.
